I practice henna every day in my body art shop in Whitby, North Yorkshire but also for many years at local art festivals, community events and private parties. I teach workshops for adults and teens and do mehndi seminars for local classrooms. My focus is on history, culture and respectful use of mehndi. My style is based on traditional patterns; I use only natural henna and a free-hand technique. I try to make the design reflect the spirit of each person.

SCHOOLS: I can provide workshops for your school utilising any part of henna and its history to fit in with the national curriculum. Special classes are offered throughout the year to provide an opportunity to experience the magic of henna or further expand current knowledge and abilities. I provide all materials needed. The children I have worked with have been entranced, engrossed in their workbooks and stayed over and above the allotted time. Emphasis has been on the plant derivate, the history of henna linking many regions and religions, medicinal links and dangers of black henna that is often used in holiday resorts. I have actually been on Radio Cleveland giving advice and warnings on the subject. .I have references and testimonials available Age range suggested etc.
